설정 할것도 없이 아무데나 케이블만 연결하면 작동한다.

각 포트의 상태를 볼 수 있는 LED가 전면에 위치하고 있다.

녹색은 100Base 로 감지되었음을 표시
노란색은 10Base 로 감지되었음을 표시
깜박이면 네트워크가 통신중임을 표시

오른쪽에는 Duplex 상태를 보여주는 LED가 별도로 마련되어 있다.
LED가 꺼져 있으면 Half Duplex로 연결되었음은 나타내고
Full Duplex로 연결/감지되었을 때에는 LED가 켜진다.
각 포트는 스트레이트 / 크로스오버 케이블을 자동으로 감지/연결한다.
각 포트는 10Base / 100Base를 자동으로 감지하여 작동하도록 설계되어 있다.
